Tiling
Much of a building’s beauty rests on flawless tile work. Floors, walls, bathrooms, swimming pools — tilers who deliver level, smooth, durable finishes are the most sought-after workers among the finishing trades.
What trainees learn
- Surface preparation and levelling
- Layout planning and marking
- Laying ceramic, porcelain, and large-format tiles
- Tile cutting — straight, diagonal, and special shapes
- Grouting, polishing, and finishing
- Quality checks — level, alignment, and hollowness testing
